Jesse Kovarsky//performer
Jesse Kovarsky is from Chicago, IL and began dancing at the age of 20 while attending Skidmore College where he received his B.A. in Dance and Art History. Soon after he moved to London to become a member of Transitions Dance Company where he also received his M.A. in Performance at Trinity Laban Conservatory of Music and Dance. While abroad he worked with choreographers Russell Maliphant, Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui, Arthur Pita, and Aletta Collins. He then joined Irish based dance company Junk Ensemble in their touring production of Falling Song. In 2012 Jesse Originated the role of Omar in the controversial show The Death of Klinghoffer at the Metropolitan Opera House. While in london he joined the cast of Punch Drunk's The Drowned Man where he originated the roles Marshell and The Grocer. He then went on to join Punch Drunk's Off Broadway sensation Sleep No More playing the role of Boy Witch. Currently Jesse has been cast in the ensemble of the new Broadway revival of Fiddler on the Roof under the choreography of Hofesh Scheter. Film credits include Anna Karenina and The Muppets Most Wanted.
